Recently, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park Management Committee jointly announced the list of Beijing Key Laboratories for 2024. The laboratory led by Prof. Shen Lin, relying on Peking University Cancer Hospital, and jointly established with Beijing GoBroad Hospital and Huaxia Yingtai (Beijing) Biotechnology Co.

 As an important part of Beijing's scientific and technological innovation system, Beijing Key Laboratory is an important scientific and technological innovation base for gathering and training excellent innovative talents and carrying out high-level scientific research activities, focusing on solving scientific and technological problems, promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and cultivating new economic growth points. The approval of the laboratory will accelerate the clinical application of solid tumor cell and gene therapy technology, promote the synergistic innovation between medical research and industry, and help Beijing to become an international frontier in the field of biomedicine.

The Beijing Key Laboratory of Cell and Gene Therapy for Solid Tumors intends to address the bottlenecks in the treatment of solid tumors and promote a major breakthrough of cell gene therapy in the field of solid tumors by targeting at the high incidence and special incidence of solid tumors in China, starting from the research and development of cell gene therapy products, the establishment of preclinical research platforms and evaluation systems, and the vigorous development of prospective clinical research. 

Through preliminary clinical exploration, combined with the foundation of preclinical research, we will dig deep into the drug resistance mechanism and reversal strategy of cytogenetic therapy for solid tumors and optimize the cell therapy products; we will cultivate a team of talents in cytogenetic therapy for solid tumors, drive the vigorous development of the cytogenetic therapy industry, and prolong the survival time of patients with advanced solid tumors.
