Dr. Fengkui Zhang has long specialized in the clinical management and research of red blood cell disorders. He has extensive experience in aplastic anemia (AA), hemolytic anemias, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA), hereditary anemias, and various myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN).
He integrates genetic testing, immunologic markers, and clinical phenotypes to enhance diagnostic accuracy for complex and rare red cell disorders.
In therapeutic practice, Dr. Zhang is highly experienced in immunosuppressive therapy, complement inhibition, molecularly targeted approaches, and iron metabolism management, contributing to the development of standardized care pathways for multiple red cell diseases. He is particularly adept at the comprehensive management of AA, AIHA, PNH, hereditary spherocytosis, and polycythemia vera.
As the discipline lead of the Anemia Diagnosis & Treatment Center, Dr. Zhang is committed to advancing multidisciplinary collaboration, improving diagnostic precision, and optimizing individualized treatment strategies, ensuring systematic and standardized care for patients with red blood cell diseases.
